Coming Fall 2022
First Baptist Church of Castroville is excited to announce that the Castroville Christian Academy plans to open in Fall 2022 as the premier Christian school in the Castroville area.
The Academy is designed to serve K4 through 5th grade. Several Open Houses will occur in early 2022 with a registration deadline in March to finalize what grades will be offered during the first year.
To be placed on the wait list (without any financial obligation), send an email with your name and contact information, and your child's name, age and grade as of Sept. 1, 2022, to CCAwaitlist@fbccastroville.com.
Director Paula Barden is available to meet with prospective parents and answer their questions beginning in late January 2022.
Paula has been active for years in FBC Castroville's Children's Ministry – volunteering in Children's Church and Wednesday night sessions, conducting Summer Camps, and teaching VBS here and in Eagle Pass.
Paula has 19 years experience in Pre-K/Headstart, Middle School Math, Science, and Reading and Secondary Science. She is skilled in using hands-on and cooperative environments within the classroom such as the use of manipulatives and learning groups.
She is a Certified teacher with a Bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University in College Station and a Master's Degree from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio.
Paula and her husband are parents of 11-year-old triplets.
The Mission of Castroville Christian Academy is to provide a God-centered learning environment where children will feel safe and loved. This is a place where children can grow intellectually, spiritually, socially and physically, allowing them to become the Christian leaders of tomorrow.
Castroville Christian Academy offers grades K4-5th grade. Cutoff birth date for admission into K4 and Kinder is September 1.
Castroville Christian Academy uses the Abeka Curriculum that meets or exceeds the state-mandated common core. All subjects are taught from a biblical world view, and with Scripture and biblical principles used to teach and illustrate concepts.
(K4 - 5th) Reading, Spelling, Grammar, Phonics, Writing Mathematics, History/Science, Good Citizenship, P.E/Music/Art/Chapel (rotation)
HOURS AND FEES
Castroville Christian Academy makes every effort to keep tuition and fees affordable. However, when the Academy's costs rise, it is sometimes forced to pass along the increase to families. Prior to tuition increases, the Academy will provide timely notice to parents.
HOURS OF OPERATION
School Hours 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday
After School Care 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday
Tuition: FBC Castroville Member Fee - $470/month
Non-Member Fee - $510/month
Additional Registration & Book Fees.
After School Care for additional charge.
Sibling Discount - 5% for each additional child.
Castroville Christian Academy follows the Medina Valley ISD school calendar.
